What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is the technology that lets your device connect to the internet without having a physical connector, like a cord. Wi-Fi networks can be public (anyone can connect to them) or private (only a user with a password can connect to them).
A router is the device that transmits the Wi-Fi signal. Unlike your phone cellular network, it is important to remember that Wi-Fi networks are limited in distance. They can only work about 38 yards/35 meters from it’s source. Therefore, your device performs best the closer it is to your router.
