Skype is a computer program (software) that turns your computer into a telephone with video capacity.  It combines the best of the phone and, if you choose, the ability to see each other.

Skype works almost anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to the internet.  Plus…and this is the greatest… it is FREE  if calling Skype to Skype. You can also use Skype as an inexpensive telephone service if you want to call from your device to a land or cell phone.
