Watching movies on your devices

Watching movies on your devices

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Many of you want to watch Movies from the privacy of your own homes. You can watch everything from the latest movies to a classic like Casablanca. The internet has made this all possible.

Today the most popular way of watching movies is Streaming services (VOD). Data comes in directly, you view it and then it is not saved on your device. For streaming you need to be online to see the movie. Once you choose your service you may need to get the App suited to this service. The three big services are Amazon, Netflix and Hulu Plus. The dilemma is which company offers the best value for your needs.*

Amazon – As a boomer, if you like movies in addition to ordering things online and sharing books on Kindle (Kindle Owners’ Lending Library), then you may prefer to buy Amazon Prime at $99 a year (includes free two day shipping).  You can check their library of movies by clicking on Amazon instant video .

Our recommendation for the Baby Boomer Generation is Amazon because their content is more geared towards this age group.

Netflix–  Has a wealth of movies for your enjoyment that you can check on this link

Hulu Plus– Is mostly oriented towards TV shows. You can check on this link

* Please note that these services may not be available in your country. You will get them in the US and we will address this more in future posts.
