Here are your step-by-step instructions.  You can even print it out.

1.  Go to the top of your screen and click on Contacts (highlighted in blue). This will open a drop down menu.  Click on Add Contact (see red arrow below).

2. Underneath “Add Contact” is a blank bar. This is where you type in the name or email address of the person you want to call. For our example we are using the name Su Doe. Click on Find at the far right side of the bar.

3. A list of people with the same name appears. To pick the right person, it helps to know something about her such as where she lives. You see the right person? Great. To add Su Doe to your contact list, click on the green icon to the far right side of the highlighted name Su Doe.

4. For everyone’s security, you now are asked to send a request to the person you want to connect with.  She must accept the request for you to talk to her.  Just like when someone wants to connect to you for the first time, you must approve their request.  The request form is a pre-printed note that says “Please add me as a contact”.  You can personalize it, if you like.

5. We personalized the message to say, “Hi from Boomersurf.”  Now press Send.

6. You now see the page of Su Doe.  Notice the question mark next to Pending contact request.

7. Once she approves your request the question mark disappears. You will see this green icon with the check in it Screen Shot 2014-04-11 at 10.53.34 AM.  You are now ready to call Su anytime you are both online, in addition to being able to add any other person you desire to connect with who is on Skype.

If you have any trouble with this please click on Live Help and we will walk you through it.
