Why do you want to know this?

Many of you want to watch Movies from the privacy of your own homes. You can watch everything from the latest movies to a classic like Casablanca. The internet has made this all possible. The two big ones are Amazon and Netflix. The dilemma is which company offers the best value for your needs. Click on Amazon instant video to see their library of movies or click on Netflix.com and compare.  As a boomer, if you like movies in addition to ordering things online and sharing books on Kindle ( Kindle Owners’ Lending Library ), then you may prefer to buy Amazon Prime at $99 a year (includes free shipping). Both Amazon and Netflix offer live streaming movies (data comes in directly, you view it and then it is not saved on your computer).

How do you order movies?

1. Click on Amazon instant video  or Netflix.com and decide which company is better suited for your needs. They are both very reputable and you will be safe (as safe as possible) with giving your credit card details for ordering easily from them .

2. Open an account with the one that suits you best.

3. In the search area put in what you are looking for and enjoy the experience.

Hi Debbie. Since you’ve mentioned uTorrent, it’s important to know that much of the content that you will find through uTorrent and other similar P2P file-sharing networks might be copyright protected and not authorized by the owners. 2 things that you’ll probably want to consider before using these services, are:

    1) the issue of the legality (or lack thereof) of content you may acquire

    2) and general safety and security for you and your computer, as due to the casual and sometimes even clandestine nature of these operations, it is not unusual to acquire a variety of viruses and malwares which often piggy-back into your computer along with some of the files you might download from them.

Best (and safest) bet is probably to stick with legal, authorized, legitimate distributors of licensed content. there are a number of them available and the field is still growing.
