Health App on iOS to potentially save your life

Beginning with the Iphone 6 there is a built in Health App    that has an emergency feature (Medical ID). This vital health information can be accessed even when your phone is locked, so if you have an emergency the medical personnel will know what to be aware of, including your blood type, medications you are on, allergies and an emergency contact. You can add other important notes.

1. Press on the App on your home screen  and it will open to a page where you can fill in your information.
2. Make sure you press on Show When Locked near the top of the screen (it will turn green as shown below).
3. Enter your vital information. The green + sign will then turn to a red – sign once you enter your information.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
4. When your phone is locked you will now see the word Emergency written at the bottom left of the screen.

5.  When your screen is locked all one has to do is press on Emergency and it will take them to your Medical ID information.
