HISTORY OF BOOMERSURF
I am Paula Adelman, the founder of BoomerSurf, who for many years was helping friends, one at a time. I learned about the Internet in 1995, mainly from my wonderful, yet sometimes impatient, 13 year old son. I can definitely empathize with your problems. The decision to develop BoomerSurf on a larger scale jelled after I spent a week with some friends in 2012. They were struggling with things like connecting on Skype and sending pictures and posting comments on Facebook. My friends did not need a certified ‘techie’ to help, but a friendly tech oriented person like myself. Shortly after, I joined forces with my previous high tech partner, Peter Weistroffer, and BoomerSurf was born. We assembled a strong team and are ready to help you.
WHO WE ARE
We are Baby Boomers, together with our slightly older and younger brothers and sisters who did not grow up with all these devices. Baby Boomers are those of us 50+, born after WW2, who came of age in the 60’s and 70’s with Woodstock, the Beatles and the Vietnam War. We joined forces for causes and did not give up easily. Now, many years later, most of us are going strong and trying to live every day to the fullest. We are still running, and running companies, surfing, swimming and traveling like there is no tomorrow. We love to learn new things and technology is no different.

Paula AdelmanCEO
People call me a visionary with a mix of professional and interpersonal skills. This coupled with experience and passion for technology, along with the desire to help people, enables me to lead the BoomerSurf team to create the best solutions to help you with your everyday Internet problems. I expanded my degree in business by graduating from a six-month accelerator program (The Hive by Gvahim) in Israel. I’m also a life member of the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association). In 2002, with my BoomerSurf partner Peter Weistroffer, we founded another internet start-up for matching golf players at high-end golf courses. In my spare time I enjoy photography, swimming, movies and spending time with my family and friends. My biggest accomplishment to date, however, is having raised two amazing sons who I am extremely proud of.

Pete has been programming for 20 years, ever since his high school admin removed all games from the lab and he had to write his own. As an undergraduate at Brown University, he met Paula through her son and they founded their first start-up in 2002. He officially became a Master of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, where he spent years as a teaching assistant and researcher, publishing papers in computer graphics and vision before turning his interest to the area of mass collaboration and sharing. He believes in the power of the web to help people help each other. Pete lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and enjoys gardening and badminton in his free time.
